20 is your new lucky number old sport because 2020 is just hours away. While the "Roaring 20's" garnered its name post decade, there is already an adamite buzz surrounding our second go at the legendary era. Many take the time to reflect on the past year or the entire decade as the final days wind down. Mira Vista is doing the same by highlighting our top 20 moments of 2019 in no specific order.
1. Put you on Repeat: This is a list of things we are grateful for, and therefore we are first and foremost grateful for our clients. We had the honor of seeing many repeat clients this year, as well as meeting a few new faces. Thank you for giving us that privilege.
2. Go Anywhere: We applied and were granted Eligible On-Demand by the FAA. Our combination of experienced flight crews and solid safety standards earned us the ability to take our clients to more remote locations.
3. Fleet Pride: Our fleet looks a little different now than it did at the start of 2019. We took on new management clients who allowed us to grow and learn as a company as we catered to new relationships. Also, we now have a killer lineup of large-cabin jets.
4. Cabin Server Game on Fleek: Maybe that phrase will go out of style in 2020, but our cabin server lineup won't. We hired more cabin servers to keep up with charter demand. Our group is the best in the business; we'd bet their home-made guacamole on that.
5. Point Pilot: We hired a few more pilots too. Nothing says on-demand like a list of pilots, well trained and ready to fly. We put our interview skills to the test to find the top of the class to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our clients.
6. Sales Team Score: Our Sales Team continued to hit the pavement hard this year, we wouldn't have expected less from them. Passengers entrusted Mira Vista to schedule not just continental trips but trips abroad as well. We also flew more charter trips in 2019 than ever before. So, where to next?
7. Sell, Sell, Sell: Need we forget we also grew our Sales Team in 2019. This is the supply and demand chain effect at work. We now have your favorite salespersons in both Van Nuys and Santa Ana.
8. Under Control: Balancing the books is never easy. As a boutique company we have a one-woman wrecking crew of a controller and she did an outstanding job keeping Mira Vista in top form when it came to ensuring our clients received statements and invoices.
9. Mission Complete: We did not have one Aircraft on Ground (AOG). This means that Mira Vista passengers never had to have a trip recovered by an aircraft they did not book. With 100% dispatch reliability rate you can count on Mira Vista to get you there when you planned 100% of the time.
10. Auditors Matter Too: We continued to operate, review, and mold our safety practices allowing third-party auditors to assess our capabilities. In doing so, we have kept our approval ratings from ARGUS, Wyvern and IS-BAO. More news on that later.
11. Inspo Board Worthy: A good company has to have direction. Our executives continued to grow and push our company to new heights in 2019. They were instrumental in bringing aboard new clients and keep the ship afloat through all matters.
12. Innovative AF: This year Mira Vista was awarded the Most Innovative Aircraft Management Company Award by Corporate Vision Magazine. Our talent acquisition and stellar performance gave us the edge on our competition in earning this award.
13. End Game: As we grew in 2019, we continued to keep our clients the top priority. We persistently chased our margin goals in keeping with our discipline which is in the best interest of our management clients. We always keep you in mind when decision making.
14. See Through: We always keep transparency at the forefront of what we do because we've been in our client's shoes. As a company whose owner is also a pilot and jet owner himself, he unfortunately knows what it feels like to be kept in the dark about the performance of his own aircraft. He said no more when founding Mira Vista Aviation in 2016 and we will always stand by that change.
15. Industry Boom: The numbers are in, and the private aircraft industry saw a 15% increase in the sale of business jets in 2019, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the aircraft makers' trade group. We're grateful to be in an industry client put stock in as an important piece to their personal and business life.
16. Communication Key: We communicated more with clients this year than in years past on social media. Our playing field of choice is LinkedIn, be sure to follow us and our entire team on the platform.
17. Silver Linings: Not everything goes according to plan, it seems almost the nature of the travel industry. Our silver lining to the downs 2019 dealt Mira Vista is the immense opportunity for growth they handed our team. We are truly better than ever.
18. Hasta la Mira Vista: We're gaining recognition via our call sign. When pilots communicate with Air Traffic Control, they use call signs- ours being Mira Vista, meaning "Look at the view." As the new kid on the block, you get asked to repeat your sign a lot. But those days are behind us now, as many in ATC now are familiar with our sign.
19. Busy Bee: We genuinely worked all year. As an on-demand business we aim to be available whenever the client needs us and we were. We worked all 365 days of the year in 2019.
20. Simply the Best: Mira Vista couldn't make 2019 happen without the people and families that stand behind us as a business, this includes all employees, partners, owners, and clients. We hope to continue being a supportive and positive influence on each other in 2020.
