Chasing the Summer Sun: As COVID Restrictions Ease Where Will You Go?

The previous months of travel often came with an asterisk when trying to cross borders, whether they be state or country, but as nations reopen, travel restrictions are easing, and travel numbers are on the rise.

Mira Vista Aviation knows passengers' first concern is still for their health safety. Each aircraft is cleaned via the ACA Aviation Clean Air component, which is FAA approved. This component aims to accelerate nature's natural cleaning, odor eliminating, and disinfecting process. The process kills a multitude of viruses, bacteria, and mold. Also, it eliminates cooking, smoking, and pet odors. The ACA component controls allergens, gases, and volatile organic compounds. Besides sanitizing the surfaces and materials inside the aircraft, our cabin crews use Zoono sanitization products, which are proven to be 100-times stronger than store-bought brands.

With passenger safety securely taken care of on each aircraft, there is now the question of where can I go?

There is no nationwide travel ban for traveling within the United States though some states are taking precautions with visitors. Officially, only New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut residents have been formally advised to avoid non-essential domestic travel. While many foreign nationals are still prohibited from entering the United States and likewise with Americans trying to cross borders, many nations are laying the foundation for reopening to tourist with some countries are already allowing business travel.

On Monday, June 15, the European Union set forth a plan to ease border closures to Union members while extending travel restrictions for non-essential travel to June 30. Border restrictions have also been extended by Canada from June to July 21 regarding all non-essential or "discretionary" travel. Mexican and United States government agencies agreed to continue the closure of the Mexican, U.S. border through late July.

While the United States governments and individual state governments have outlined different phases for reopening, the understanding of the criteria to meet each stage is difficult. The NPR has uploaded an easy to follow PDF explaining what measures are necessary to reach each phase. It's most important to know that cities and counties may differentiate that location phase compared to the state. There are select states that may not or do not identify the stage it is in due to the broad differentiation.

The travel industry can and cannot lists will continue to be fluid as the world navigates the COVID-19 pandemic.
